The Requirements

To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have:
  • A bachelor's degree, which is required.
  • Substantial online marketing expertise with e-commerce experience at a leading Internet company or an e-commerce consumer brand.
  • 4-plus years of experience with third party, bid management and analytics software including proficiency in Omniture SearchCenter, Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing, Microsoft AdCenter, Google Ad Editor, and Omniture SiteCatalyst. Quick question for you - click here
  • Solid knowledge in search engine optimization, keyword research, landing-page conversion tactics, and SEM metrics (CPM, CTR, CPC, CPL, CPA).
  • Experience with optimizing search engine marketing campaigns through ad development, keyword research, and landing-page optimization via A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

The Role

In this role reporting to the Director of Search Engine Marketing, you will primarily be responsible for helping us improve our e-commerce tactics using Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Center, MSN Ad Center, and so on. You will strive to increase the quality of our leads while reducing our costs through smart bid management, regional targeting campaigns, A/B and multivariate testing, developing lead-focused text ads, and experimenting with new keyword sets, for example.

To summarize, your key responsibilities are to:
  • Create, execute, and manage PPC campaigns to deliver quality leads for our campuses; this includes everything from idea conception to writing ad copy and launching the ad campaign.
  • Work on increasing our conversion rates, lowering our costs, and improving the quality of our leads.
  • Maxmize sales, traffic and profitability of new product search online marketing efforts.  The E-Commerce Online Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing the marketing investment to drive the highest possible returns while meeting monthly and annual traffic and sales goals.
  • Compile and analyze performance data and metrics and make decisions regarding campaign direction based on analysis.
  • Stay abreast of changes in the online marketing environment and trends to best serve the objectives of our organization and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Design and recommend short- and long-term online, lead generating strategies.
