Opportunity Overview

Thinking about a career change? How about this for a rewarding career path: in this newly created role you will have the opportunity to help our students achieve their dreams.

Corinthian Colleges, Inc. is a young and dynamic organization that has quickly grown to become one of North America's largest post secondary education companies. CCi operates more than 100 campuses across the continent as well as a rapidly growing online education division. In fact, this position has been created due to our ongoing growth.

As a Manager of Career Services, you will help to connect our graduates with employers, helping them to reach their goals and conclude their career journey with us. You will join the career services team at the Everest Institute at our Chelsea, MA campus.

Career services is a central part of our value proposition to students. In fact, if you're not from the education field you may be intrigued to know that our accreditation requires that we place a certain percentage of our students.

We offer our employees the chance to take on interesting challenges, work with sharp and talented people, help grow our organization both in revenue and in the quality of our performance, and contribute to our mission of helping students improve their lives -- some 70,000 times a year. If you haven't been on a college campus lately, we think you'll find the active, energetic atmosphere very motivating.

More About Your Role

Career Services focuses on placing graduates, of course, but it also provides a variety of services and programs to help graduates succeed, such as resume writing, interviewing skills, the application process, organizational dynamics, externships, networking skills, advice on how to dress for interviews, and more. And we provide Career Services to all our graduates throughout their lives; as we like to say, "Career Services is forever."

You will support the Director of Career Services in leading the Career Services team to accomplish the campus, team and student goals. In addition, you will partner with the director to execute the placement strategies. Specifically, your role will include:
  • Organizing and maintaining documentation files on all graduates and tracking placement rates for each program.
  • Distributing, collecting and summarizing graduate and employer satisfaction surveys.
  • Maintaining an active lead generation system to ensure sufficient job opportunities are available to students and graduates.
  • Serving on all Advisory Boards of the college and making recommendations to the Academic and Executive Committee regarding curricula and job skills needed in the workplace.
  • Maintaining an active and positive relationship with employers, sponsoring virtual on- campus recruiting, and participating in virtual Career Fair(s)
  • Developing, coordinating and assisting with externship and work related opportunities for students.
  • Coordinating graduation ceremonies.
  • Providing market surveys on proposed new programs to be offered.

Requirements

To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have solid relevant experience, for example in career services or human resources, and a background in outside business development and/or business management. We're looking for a professional with leadership skills, outstanding interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to bring an innovative approach to connecting qualified candidates with desirable employers.

Also required:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales or marketing.
  • 3+ years experience in professional recruiting, temp agency recruiting, career center or human resources. Sales experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications (advanced skills in Word and Excel).
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work with external vendors and internal clients.
  • Working with recruiters to achieve specific results.

We are an equal opportunity employer. EOE M/F/D/V
